Mentioning Yale in Common App essay?

<p>So a person who I showed my common app essay to suggested that a certain metaphor I have about going to colleges in my essay would be more effective if I talked about Yale specifically, and said that I could do that since you can change the common app form and submit it to individual schools as you want.</p>

<p>I think it'd be kind of weird to mention Yale in my common app essay; I get the feeling that you have the supplement to be specific. This person was helpful in pointing out redundancies and mistaken grammar in my essay, but is being pretty insistent on this point. What do you guys think? Have you heard of other people changing their common app essay for each school?</p>

well I’m an international applicant and I do not no that much about the whole process, BUT to be honest…I don’t think that it would make a difference to the adcoms as the KNOW that you can change your essay for each school…so I don’t think that there is a point to it
If you feel uncomfortable mentioning Yale in your CommonApp essay then don’t </p>
