Merchant Mariners of WW II

Hello I hope this is not considered off topic and I hope my son doesn't mind me sharing his story of what happened to him today.

He was taking a quiet break somewhere on campus when a woman approached him asking him if he could help serve at an allumni function.

Happy to help out he found himself setting up chairs at a function and then helping serve at this function.

He met many very interesting allumni who have served their country.

The adress at this function was on a bill that is designed to give a long overdue thank you to the Merchant Mariners who served in WW II

Please read the information at this website and if you too feel so moved to show that Americans valued their contribution, write your congressman.

Thanks,

Thats awesome KP10sMOM. You just never know what your kid will end up doing or who they will meet at the academy. What a neat experience. I'm onboard with this one. Our merchant mariners are such heroes and have been so forgotten..... Thanks so much for passing this along. Thanks KP10 too!

kp10smom.....THANKS for posting that link. I wrote to my congresspeople a few months ago regarding this measure.
