merit aid at Denison University

hi i am hoping for a merit scholarship from denison as an incoming freshman next year (I'm pretty sure I'll get in)

with a 34 ACT, and 35 superscored, does anyone know what I can except as a merit award who has gone through it or knows Denison well? I have a good GPA, extracurriculars, sport, etc. as well if that is taken into account

You would be in the running for one of the $45K scholarships. http://denison.edu/campus/admissions/financial-aid/types-of-aid</a> That essentially covers tuition. http://denison.edu/campus/admissions/financial-aid/tuition--fees</a> Make sure you fill out the application for the scholarships before 15 Jan.

I thought it was automatic consideration when you apply- is there a separate application?

Not automatic. You have to fill out the application. From the link I provided:

Separate application must be new this year?

Erin’s Dad, the website simply indicates you must complete your application and all materials by Jan 15. There is no indication of any separate application for that scholarship.

OP, I suggest contacting your admissions counsellor to double check. Too important to make a mistake!

Good luck!

^ You may be right. I reread it and it seems you don’t need a separate FA app. But do check. My D had to apply separately for the Pascal award (which unfortunately is no longer offered).
