Merit Aid in ED

GW is currently my absolute dream school and I really want to apply ed to increase my chances of getting in however, I have reservations about the cost. The cost of GW is no problem however I have plans for law school later which will run me into severe financial despair if I pay full price for GW. I feel that I have a decent shot at merit aid in rd but the unpredictability of rd concerns me. Does anyone have any experience with getting merit aid in ed(GW's website says merit aid is equal between rd and ed)?
My stats are

I would say you’re a perfect candidate for GW. Your GPA and test scores are strong, and I would say you have a great chance at getting merit aid. I agree with the cost of the school; I’m also applying ED. I’m pretty sure if you apply ED they give you a set financial package and you need to accept it without any negotiations.
