Hi everybody...which good schools give the best merit aid, and what are the criteria a prospective student should have to receive such aid?

Go to the Financial Aid forum and look at the pinned threads at the top of the forum.

<a href=“Financial Aid and Scholarships - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/

Keep in mind that the better the school, the less merit aid they give. Schools give merit aid to attract top talent. Some schools (Princeton, MIT, etc) already attract top talent.

Use one of the many college search tools like “Super Match” and find schools that meet your criteria. Then look for schools where you are at 75% of the SAT percentile. Some schools (e.g., public) state right on their websites what the criteria is for merit.
