The weekend was incredible. I met some of the smartest, likable, genuine students (meaning your kids) this weekend. Definitely pushed Michigan up there in the top. The decision will be hard for me because of the different caliber of schools I was admitted to for my specific discipline.
@viphan Glad to hear you had a great time. So did my son. Sounds like they did a great job with their mission of “recruiting” kids Best of luck to all of you for the bonus $$ and most of all with your tough decisions over the next couple weeks.
@vipan. Glad it was a great experience. My son had a great time also. Now comes the hardest part - making a decision! I was incorrectly thinking the stress was behind us!! And good luck to anyone waiting for results today!
Yes, making decision can be harder than waiting for the admission notice. Set up the priority and go through the list of pros and cons for each school. Once you make the final decision by May 1, do not look back. Just believe it is the best decision you made.
Congrats @ClueBus ! I assume your daughter received some good news today? My son didn’t apply to any of the Ivy’s - he never had any interest in any of them. But we’ve heard from various people with good & bad news today. Good luck with your tough choices.
has anyone heard about the stamps scholars scholarship yet from university of michigan. on the website in one place it says mid april in another april 1st.
Just a random question: do you deposit the enrollment fee first, and then accept the scholarship, or vice versa? I’m so excited and ready to enroll right now, but the actual scholarship hasn’t shown up on Wolverine Access. They just changed the amount I receive from the engineering school, but didn’t include the other parts of it. Thanks!
Just curious, now that it is May 1st, does anyone know how many Shipman accepted the scholarship? If is a fantastic scholarship but I’ve heard at least three that declined (my son included). Tough choices!
Question, I see these scholarships may be by school? Is that the case? If so, could one enter Mich in any school get a scholarship and apply for Ross after Freshman year?
How competitive are they, other than the highest, which sounds lie very few get. And congrats to those who did! How exciting!
I forewent my Shipman Scholarship for Duke. Although it was a hardest decision of my life (along with other great choices), I think I’ll be happy here.
