When calculating your financial aid package, does GWU consider the merit money you get as part of the need based aid?
For example:
Net price calculator says you’ll get $30k, you get $18k merit, do you only get $12k need based?
I haven’t gotten my financial aid packet, just curious as to what to expect.
I got both merit and need-based. so its two separate things, but both are included in the overall financial letter
From what I remember with mine some years back, the net price calculator does not include merit aid. It only looks at need-based aid, so it would be that amount listed + merit aid, if applicable.
