@flsoccermom22 what about North Carolina A&T? They offer meteorology and it’s an HBCU.
@NASA2014 I forgot I applied to Creighton too those guys are really interested in me.
@Tenjin99 can you update this thread with a list of schools stating which schools you have applied to, which schools you have been accepted to and your OOP expense at each school and how much your parents will contribute? It would be really helpful to have all this information in one post.
@3scoutsmom I haven’t received any new info from them yet.
I got into Lyndon State College.
That’s great! @Tenjin99 has your mom come around about letting you go out of state?
@3scoutsmom I’m taking it one day at a time with that. I also got rejected from Florida Tech for the fall semester today too because of my academic background and performance. They basically said I’m not what they’re looking for success wise there.
That’s awesome! If you go there and your mom can pay the tuition. It will be the best decision for you because the you can choose the five year plan meteorology option!
@NASA2014 that was the best news I got all day yesterday.
Accepted:
Lyndon State College
Rejected:
Florida Institute of Technology.
And UAH Rejected me.
@carolinamom2boys Well I got rejected by the College of Charleston.
I’m sorry to hear that @Tenjin99 .
@carolinamom2boys I was so depressed I barely had an urge to eat today.
@Tenjin99 If that continues , you need to talk to your mom and GC. If you want to have a successful college experience , you need to get your depression addressed. You’re smart. I think that deep down you know that.
Obviously this is a setback, but you can work towards having a stronger application next year. Have you worked on getting your accommodations for an ACT retake? Investigated community college options?
@aroundhere I’m in the process of doing both
@Nasa2014 I got into northland college as well today
Wow!! I won’t hear back from Penn State until May. I’m glad, you have two good choices! If only I could go back in time applied to Lyndon State College and did the five year plan option.
@Nasa2014 I was surprised at how excited my admissions counselor was about telling me the good news. What are the odds that he was a meteorology major there.
