<p>I applied to Miami University and got deferred. This is a top choice school so I am going to write them an email saying if I got accepted I would enroll, and send in my senior grades (which are better than the grades I sent in).</p>

<p>I applied early action which has an 86% acceptance rate of 12,469 people.</p>

<p>I am now put in the pool of regular admission where 73% of 20,314 people are accepted.</p>

<p>Honestly, I was kinda surprised that I even got deferred because my counselor said this was a "reach" school.</p>

<p>Do you think I will get in? Thanks. </p>

<p>Post: your GPA, SAT/ACT score, any EC where you won a high-level award (if relevant), and how much your parents can pay.
Your mid year report should be sent by your counselor. Higher test scores than previously submitted would help.Sending a new letter of recommendation might help too. </p>

<p>why are you surprised if your counselor said it was reach? i think youll get in tho if you send the email.</p>

<p>A reach by definition is a school where you probably will not get in. A safety is one you would be surprised at not being admitted.</p>
