Does anyone know anything about the program at Miami? Obviously, not one of the tops in the country, but they seem to be investing heavily in it (new building, etc.) I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Don't think so.

In Ohio, UC is top public, followed by OSU, also Case Western if you want private & smaller. UC invented the Co-op program and is very proud of that.

Actually ohio state is better then UC (university of cincinnati), but anyways Miami ohio is a good school and seems to be improving and a degree would be just fine from there, but if you want the best program for you money then probably ohio state is the best.

Miami University's only accredited programs are:

Manufacturing Engineering (BS)
Mechanical Engineering (BS)
Paper Science and Engineering (BS) (Very well known program - my note.)

so, one doesnot have a lot of options @ MU.

I think OSU or Case Western is good.

Miami University also has ABET-accredited "technology" programs in

Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (AS) [1996]
Engineering Technology : Electro-Mechanical Concentration (BS) [2006]
Engineering Technology: Mechanical Concentration (BS) [2006]
Mechanical Engineering Technology (AS)[1996]

It sounds like MU may emphasize "technology" programs to an equal or greater degree than true "engineering" programs. This may or may not be what you are looking for.
