During high school, overwhelmingness of issues within home life got to me, and I ultimately did not perform as well as I could have. I did relatively poorly, however, due to secondary factors (possibly a miracle or two lol), I was granted admission to UM. I do like UM, although I really don’t feel at home here, nor that it’s the school for me (socially, academically, and geographically). My first choice throughout high school was Barnard, but I ended up not applying due to how slim the chances were.
Ok, well anyway, now that I’m away at school and from all that caused me to do poorly, I’ve really excelled at UM, and my grades show it. I’ve done well in all of my classes and have maintained a 4.0 GPA, which doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere either. And since I’m still in love with Barnard, I was wondering, would transferring be possible? What would the chances be, assuming I keep up my GPA.
Thanks so much
Just went through the post and realized I hadn’t specified that I’m a freshman/class of 2018.
BUMP
What are your SAT/ACT scores? Extra Curricular activities? Major?
I hope to transfer to Barnard as well, it’s my top choice!
I’m in the exact same boat, and waiting on my decision from then any day now. Commenting on here now so I can get back to you when I get my letter. What was your GPA in hs? Also, you will have to submit SAT scores.
