i just got accepted to miami university’s (ohio) summer scholars program for the media matters (journalism) module!! i’m super excited, but i don’t really know what to expect. has anyone done the program before that can give me an idea of what’s to come?

How much time did it take between submitting your application and acceptence? My daughter applied and has not heard back yet.
My daughter’s application was complete on April 27. (Her college counselor took so long to send her transcript.) we finally found on last Thursday evening, so we waited 3 weeks for the decision. I am thrilled she is in. The inconvenience is that she had registered for Indiana University’s High School Journalism Institure (HSJI). At that time, we were about to give up on Miami. Now, we are strongly considering Miami Summer Scholars.

@ItsJustAName It didn’t take much time between my submission and acceptance, but that may be because I applied pretty last minute. I don’t remember exactly, but I believe it only took a week or so. I hope your daughter got in!!
@cutinawoof I would love to know which program your daughter ended up going with!! If she went with Miami, I’m sure I’ll end up meeting her if she’s in the journalism module!
