i know that the business school at michigan is supposed to be ridiculous, but does anyone have an actual analysis in comparing the two schools? thanks

both schools have placement reports on their websites.

ridiculous = good?

I know Michigan is tied for second in business behind Wharton. My sister applied to all the top business schools when she was doing the process 3 years ago and Georgetown wasnt on the list.

to be honest with you, I've never had much exposure/knowledge of Georgetown's B-School (didnt even know they had a dedicated undergrade one) while Ross is in the top 5 in just about every business category and the only distinct differences between it and Wharton is the name, and 3 yrs vs 4 yrs, the college your in. Other than that, just about every company that visits Wharton visits Ross, I dont know about GT. Plus, if your into school-spirit/sports, its no comparison =)

Michigan is building a brand new b-school right now and is only gaining reputation.

Ross is just ridiculously good in general. i'll just go ahead and remphasize the fact that almost every category has ross right after wharton in rankings (and some have ross above wharton too).

Ross is better than McDonnaugh. However, in terms of placement, Georgetown is just as impressive as Michigan and other top 5 BBA programs. If you want a great overall Business education, I recommend Ross. However, if you just care about placement and prefer the Georgetown atmosphere, McDonnaugh will serve you well.

Wharton gets many internships that Ross is not offered. My sister is doing the Kraft internship in White Plains over the summer for brand management and that its only offered to Wharton...Other Kraft internships are offered to other schools, not sure if Michigan makes the list, but the prestegious brand management is a Wharton only internship. Other companys work this way as well. As for job placement and starting salary out of college I think Wharton is definately a better business school.
