Mich. (Ross) vs. NYU (Stern) vs. UC Berkeley (Haas) vs. Illinois

So my decision on which school to attend in the fall has come down to these four, and I was just curious as to what other people thought (and I will be posting this in all 4 schools' threads to receive everybody's bias). I want to eventually get into finance (ibanking, etc.).

Currently I have been accepted into NYU (Stern) with 9k per year for 2 years (possibly all 4, still trying to figure this out), Michigan's College of Engineering (no Ross Pre-Admit), UC Berkeley's College of Letters and Science and Illinois' Business Honors Program with about 13k per year. Money doesn't really matter, but it does somewhat- my parents will send me where I want to go and we'll make it work, but that may mean loans for the first 3 choices.

Which of these would set me up the best for a career in ibanking/acceptances to top MBA programs (ex. Penn, Harvard, Stanford, etc.)?

all four are very good schools for business; nyu, michigan, and berkeley are probably more prestigious if that’s anything you’re concerned with. your experience at nyu would be hugely different from michigan or berkeley, so i would decide based on personal fit. as far as getting into mba programs, i get the sense it’s more important where you work after college than where you went to college, so long as you earn top grades.

If working on the Wall Street is your goal, NYU would be the clear favor.

kxc, almost 40% of Ross students end up working on Wall Street. For a non-East Coast school that does not attract a majority of students interested in working on Wall Street, that’s pretty amazing. Among BBA programs, no program is a “clear favorite” over Ross. Wharton is better while Sloan and Stern are roughly as good.
