"Michael Roth is an unusual president"

A major piece in The Chronicle of Higher Education by alum (and @wesleyan97‌ contemporary), David Perry '95:
<a href="http://chronicle.com/article/PresidentsPublic/150879/">http://chronicle.com/article/PresidentsPublic/150879/</a></p>

Good piece. Thanks for linking.

Roth (I heard him speak now twice) is great but to @Circuitrider, don’t you think 7 years is enough and Roth is now likely to fly to his next perch, that was something I considered. He is a great advocate for LACs

@Englishman, you’ve established your troll bona fides. Are you hoping to medal?

thanks

Ten years would be my prediction and it would coincide with the end of what is well on its way to being a hugely successful endowment campaign. One thing for sure, when he does leave, Roth’s successor will find a much more visible office with expanded possibilities as a bully pulpit.

I thought he was certainly a more interesting president than Dougie B.

The bully pulpit bit is certainly accurate as well.
