michigan as a safety

just wondering if i should consider michigan-ann arbor as a safety for me.

i guess long resume short; 33 act, 2250 sat, 3 sat 2's in the upper 700 - 800, 3 ap tests, 8 ap courses overall, national merit, violin, research at med. school for 3 different labs, lots of volunteering, rank 3/570, 4.0 uw.

thanks guys.

So long as your app got in by November 1, it is a match school. Too prestigeous to be a safety. you are in scholarship range too.

Is Mich a match for me: 3.9 UMichGPA, 2240 SAT, 3 SATIIs totaling 2390, 4 AP tests with one 4 and the rest 5s, great rec, above avearage essays, above par ECs like the OP's except maybe a tad stronger. I am not a Michigan resident, but go to a school that Michgain loves and accepts 20+ people every year. Sent in my app October 16.

Even though you appear to be out-of-state, I would say Michigan a low match/safety for you. You need to apply soon though.

alright cool. i sent my application 2 hours ago, so i'm just waiting for my counselor's stuff. but thanks for your opinions.
