I will be applying to U of M in the fall and if i get accepted it will without a doubt be my first choice. That being said i am on the border and need to choose a backup plan in case i get denied. So i was wondering if the engineering program at msu would be better to go to than the flint guarantee transfer to coe
and any thoughts on the flint program or experience with it would be highly appreciated
thanks
Unless money is a real issue, I would never enter a program that required you to transfer to another campus mid-college. Those programs sound great academically on paper (I am also thinking about those 3 years at an LAC plus 2 somewhere for engineering), but you lose so much of the non-academic aspects of college from extracurricular to making friends to making stronger connections with faculty. College is an experience as well as an education.
