hey guys
so i calculated my michigan gpa for my sophomore and junior years and it's a 3.55
this seems really low :(, but every class i took was honors or ap (4 ap's) and im taking 5 ap's my senior year.
i'm also oos.
i'm kind of worried now.. should I be? :( im applying early to mich

even though the GPA is lower than what they want, they really only want a 3.6+
3.55 is absolutely really close to what they want and if you have decent test scores and decent extracurriculars, it totally makes up for your grades.

They also look at the classes you’ve been taking and they want to know that you don’t have a 4.0 on all easy classes but rather 3.55 with AP and honors classes.

^ umm no

they actually want a 3.7+ and for oos a 3.8+ is much better.

3.55 is low, but if you have a strong class rank (10%+) and test scores (33+/2200+), you can still get in.

Your UM GPA looks a lot better than mines, which is only 3.3. I will have taken about 5 Aps once I graduate ( school offers a little Aps, and can only be taken 11th and 12th grade years). I’ve taken many honors in all the courses that it was offered at my school as well, so I guess it is better to have a 3.3 UM GPA or 3.55 and have taken tough classes, not sure how much it would help though since many with a 3.8 UM GPA have did the same.
But compared to mines, I think your UM GPA is great.

what’s your SAT/ACT score?

****, my um GPA is 3.0 lol

How do you calculate a university of michigan GPA??
