Michigan/MarquetteHonors/Holy Cross

17500 more/year to attend Michigan OOS or Holy Cross. We could do it, but hard to figure out if it's worth it. He didn't get into his dream school, and he narrowed it to these three, but can't decide between them. I know the sizes are very different, but he says he would be comfortable at small or medium, or maybe big.

All schools far away from home. Likes Holy Cross, but wonders if it's too much like his small high school. Likes the idea of honors program at Marquette, but he didn't have a great visit there. He likes the college town atmosphere, sports and academic challenges at Michigan but unsure of the size.

He's thinking med school, or maybe transferring to engineering but no set plans post-grad.

Any thoughts?

I would pick either Michigan or Holy Cross as they are far better academically. Ann Arbor is a great town and football spirit is huge and great premed but huge school. HC is in not as great a town but fantastic premed program and free shuttle service to Boston which is far better than Detroit. Really boils down to big or small school choice.
