<p>University of Michigan transfer essay advice:</p>

<p>I'm applying as a transfer student to the University of Michigan and am seeking advice on The common app question: Why do you want to transfer? and the Michigan supplemental essay question: "Describe unique qualities that attract you to the specific school at UM you are applying to" .</p>

<p>While they are different questions, it seems that the answers could be very similar as one might want to transfer because of the unique qualities of a specific school. </p>

<p>Any advice would be appreciated.</p>

<p>Personally, I’d use the second essay about unique qualities to tell UMich how good of school it is and why you WANT to go there. Then the first essay would be used to relate your reason for transferring to “fit” your educational needs and how you believe that you’d strive at UMich- More of why you NEED to go there… If that makes any sense :slight_smile:
