Mid Tier Undergrad School to a Med School?

Hey all,
If I attend a state university such as NC State, will my chance of getting accept into any Med School lower given a 32+ MCAT score and 4.0 GPA?

With that been said, would I be better off going to WFU, UNC Chapel Hill or Davidson, although I may not have a 4.0 GPA?

From my understanding getting a high GPA is always more important than attending a renowned university where you will do poorly.

My son went to a mid-tier and had no trouble getting into med school. The higher GPA is BETTER.

Do not think that obtaining college 4.0 at state pubic would be easier. It would not be! Simply surviving as pre-med will not be easy. Only about 15% of initial pre-meds eventually apply to medical school.
Do not aim at MCAT = 32 either. Although I do not know the difference in scoring between new and old MCAT, MCAT=32 was considered low when D. applied 5 years ago (or was it 6?).
My D. went to in-state public, we do not know the rank. She applied to 8 medical school, was accepted at 4, including top 20s. As you can see, she had no trouble getting in, her pre-med friends did not have trouble either. The problem was choosing the right place for themselves, they had great choices.

Having a high GPA and strong MCAT is always a good starting point for any med school hopeful from any school.
