I was unclear on whether we were required to send midyear grades to biology phd graduate programs. I know that Princeton requires it, and I remember Berkeley MCB mentioning that they would look at our senior first semester grades; however, there is no place on the Berkeley mcb application to do this. Does anyone know whether Stanford, Harvard, Yale, or Penn molbio programs accept mid year grade reports? If they do, how do I go about doing this? Email of the unofficial transcript? Thank you.

If there is no clear statement that the midyear report is required in the “Transcripts” section of a graduate program’s admissions information page, then it isn’t. I haven’t seen Stanford, Berkeley, or Harvard make requests for midyear grades.

All programs will, of course, want to see your senior year grades after you’ve accepted their offer of admission.
