Hi guys, I have a concern regarding the mid-year report. Some schools I’ve applied to have the deadline on the 15th, but I’m on winter break and won’t get back til the 23rd/24th. Would I be able to still request my guidance office to send the mid-year report, and would colleges still consider it? Is it ok to send it after the deadline, and what effect would that have on the admission process?
Thank you.
You have a pretty late winter break…
How long have you been on break?
At this point, I would e-mail admissions that you have been on break for a while and thus the guidance office has been unable to send mid-year transcripts. I can’t tell you exactly what the outcome will be, but most schools are pretty lenient about receiving late documents (except the application itself).
Hey same my break ends then too and my mid year will have to be sent then as well
Break started today, but our guidance dept. sucks with sending stuff out. I asked seniors of previous years if I was supposed to talk with my guidance dept. about sending the mid year report, but they said they never did it and assumed it was automatic. I emailed my guidance counselor and she said they send out the report only if the student or college requests it. Does that mean it’s ok to assume colleges request the mid year report?
@slights32 I emailed several admissions offices to see if it would be acceptable to send it at that time.
