Mid-Year Report?

Hello! On SIS, I have an “incomplete” status because I haven’t turned in my mid-year reports yet (which should be available in early 2017). So if I applied Early Action, would my application still be reviewed as early action and I just turn in the transcript later on because on Virginia.edu it says it’s due ASAP? Thanks for the help!

@rocketsandmoons8 Mid-year reports and transcripts are two different things. When you apply the schools want your app, transcript, counselor recommendation and teacher(s) recommendation. They will make their decision off of that. The mid-year report is, as you said, going to be available to be sent to colleges in early 2017. It sounds like it is your transcript that is missing and the app will not be reviewed until you get it to them so you want to get it there ASAP. You have until Nov 10, correct? Your college counselor may have already sent it but the site has not updated. If your school uses naviance, you can check there to see if the counselor has uploaded it. On Monday, be sure to find out if you are still unsure.

Don’t forget to read the “After You Submit” part of the application instructions. This is covered.

@paveyourpath @“Dean J” Thank you so much for the advice! However, on the SIS it said that it has the transcript but that the mid year report (one available in 2017) is not there. And even though it wouldn’t be possible yet to get it until 2017, it says the application is incomplete. But i’m assuming that it’s okay because the link that @“Dean J” sent says that mid year reports should be sent as soon as possible but not a particular date. Can someone confirm this? Thanks again!

You don’t need College Confidential to confirm the application instructions (or me!). The line in bold in the “After Your Submit” section addresses MY reports.

@“Dean J” Oh sorry! I can’t believe I missed that. I was really stressed out but that was a relief!
