I have schools where I submitted my supplements through CommonApp but used the QUestbridge App as primary. Would it be okay for my counselor to submit the mid year report through the CommonApp? If not, what are my options. Specifically, I am wondering about Haverford, Vassar, and Swarthmore. Have any of you contacted their office etc.?

From Brown (though those may be different) I got:

Dear Physicsnut1,
Just ask your high school to mail them to:
Brown University
College Admission Office
45 Prospect St.

Providence, RI 02912–

Best,
The Brown Admission Office

From another:

Dear Physicsnut1,

Thank you for your email.

Please have your high school counselor fax us your mid-year report at 203-777-6120.

Admitted students and students who have already completed high school will be asked to submit a Final Report including a final transcript.

But you can always shoot those offices a quick e-mail. Best of luck

I’m a Quest Scholar from Haverford. I just asked my counselor to send my midyear transcript, with senior semester 1 grades in the mail.

Thanks alot! I send the offices emails. Waiting for the reply.

Is there some sort of form that needs to be filled out? My son looked earlier on his Common App and couldn’t find a form. I don’t see anything on the Questbridge website that has a link to such a form, either.

If your son applied to schools that wanted the Common App for Regular Decision, his counselor will fill out a “Mid-Year Report” form when s/he submits your son’s transcript online to Common App (make sure he reminds his counselor, though ).

If the schools your son applied to with RD Questbridge did NOT want the Common App, it may be different based on the school. Brown, for instance, only wanted an Official Transcript mailed, no form required. He’ll just have to e-mail or call to check. Hope that helps Best of luck.

Thanks, Physicsnut. So the counselor has the form? Is there a “due deadline” on this? My son’s counselor will be out the next few days, and there is a minor entry error on his transcript (from an outside class) that needs to be fixed. Do we still have a few weeks’ time to get that fixed transcript in?

I would send it ASAP, but without wild panic. If your child is taking couses at a local college, you might have the college send a transcript as well.

For a midyear report, which do we send:
- An official transcript with first semester senior grades
- A report card with only first semester senior grades
- Both

Also, do schools prefer mail over fax or is either acceptable?
