keylyme,
same thing with me.
our big 8th grade grad trip was a trip to the amusement park that everyone has season passes to and goes to numerous times in the summer anyway,
whoo.
lol

ya,
everything in school seems kinda pointless right now,
and one of my teachers is like
"she does her work because shes going to prep school next year",
and i just kind of sit there and laugh...

Ballerina and keylyme, you may be in the same area as me. Does the theme park also have an indoor water park?

not at all.
lol

i live in the middle of nothing

No....I did not even know they had indoor waterparks! There is a Six Flags with an outdoor waterpark, but that is about two hours away. This is a rinky-dink little amusement park with one ancient wooden roller coaster.

Canobie Lake. I believe it is located on one of Dante's circles. I hate having to chaperone those trips!

Indoor water parks are very big in the midwest and are spreading all over the country. When my son was younger, I brought him to the Wisconsin Dells, the "Midwestern Riviera" Wisconsin Dells (WI): Official Website of the Visitor & Convention Bureau It's a good place to work off senioritis.

"I believe it is located on one of Dante's circles." LOL!

That's how I feel about all theme parks!

The indoor water parks seem like such a great idea when it hasn't gotten above 5 degrees for weeks; but every time a start to consider going, it morphs into a gigantic petri dish and I shudder.

Well, good luck to all trying to keep their eighth graders on track these last few months. Let them gloat a little, though. Admittance is great achievement.

i've pretty lost the motivation to do anything now that i've found out that i'm going to exeter next year,
having a major english paper due in a week and a math exam in two doesn't help either.
buuut there's a fancy formal soon and my birthday; 2 things that keep me going =)
on the other hand, losing friends i've made in a year keeps me down, but the aspect of being able to go shopping in the states after a year of confinement in nowhere-to-shop-land makes me happy
ahhh its going to be bittersweet, the rest of the school year.

hahah canobie lake..i live like 45 mins from there. But you guys do have to keep up your grades becuase i know a girl who is graduating as a senior this year from my school who got early acceptance to upenn, she let her grades slip a little and they revoked her admission. It might not be a boarding school but it does happen.

yes i got to a private school, and yes i'm in eighth grade. i go to a very very small school, so their budget is able to stretch a lot more than other schools. we're all really lucky. i had a fantastic trip. quite life changing.

OH.MY.GOD.
i just stopped studying for my tests recently (but thankfully my grades haven't actually changed) and i got a letter from exeter this morning that told me that i needed to send in my FINAL TRANSCRIPT to exeter to be "fully" accepted or something.
EEK. i hope nothing goes wrong (my final exams for example)
