Middlebury Language School (French)

So...I'm going to Middlebury this summer for French and I'm really nervous. For anyone who's been there, a few questions:
1. How well do people adhere to the pledge? Like do they actually really just speak in the target language? (During meals, free time, etc. especially) And does everyone really turn in their phones and everything?
2. What should I bring? I go to a boarding school and I live in a dorm, so I have a rough idea of what I'll need, I mailed myself a fan and a lamp and it says on the website that they provide sheets but what else do people usually bring? I live in Korea so anything bulky or heavy is off the list.
3. I thought this was like a high school camp but I realize that's not the case. What is the general age range and are classes divided accordingly?
4. Does this look good on college apps? This is more or less the only thing I'm doing this summer and I'm shooting for Ivies, so my mom is worried.
5. How much does it help? I speak intermediate French (taking AP course next year), so about how good would I be after this?

I realize this is more than I thought, even brief responses would be greatly appreciated.

Also, is anyone else going this year? (Not just French school but the program in general, even better if French)

I’m interested in doing it this summer! How did you find it?
