<p>We have been looking through photos on the USNA PAO site, in preparation for I-day, and we saw insignia that looked sort of like a chief petty officer's insignia on the right sleeve of several Mids, but the insignia has four stars circling the top. </p>
<p>I don't think they were CPOs before, it takes a long time to reach that rank and you have to apply before your 23rd birthday. I can tell you that the insignia is that of midshipmen Brigade Chief Petty Officers.</p>
<p>Actually, that is just insignia to denote that they are part of the color guard. D&B also should have some type of insignia. These insignia only apply to the parade jacket!</p>
