So, elections are rapidly approaching! Who, or what party, will you be voting for, and why??

I’m independent, and I’m voting for a republican congressman and a democrat senator and a democrat governor.

how bout you

I dont like independents bc they cant make up their mind most of the time. Im not trying to insult you, but thats just my opinion. Im a republican and Ill be voting for a republican for every office.

well put

1010101010

hey, I just realized that I can make bad comments, but if i say"thats just my opinion," then they arent badd comments at all, and are considered free speech.

Some people don't want to officially align themselves with a particular political party. I respect that. Most registered Independents I know are old-school conservatives who feel that the Republican Party of today is too liberal (a view which has a lot of merit, IMO). They invariably end up voting Republican, but they aren't happy enough with the direction of the GOP -- and I'm not talking about Iraq -- to proudly wear the tag of "Republican."

I think the problem is that people today, especially young people, vote strictly down party lines. If someone is a registered Democrat, most of the time they just automatically place their vote for that democrat without ever knowing the person's actual stance on certain issues. Same with Republicans.

People need to do more research and vote down candidate lines, not party lines.

Libertarian

ya know, I said that just to see if someone like you (smallz) would make a comment about it. And you did :). Anyway, I probably will be voting for all republicans in the state im in bc there arent any good dems, and libertarians arent good enough to make it on the ballot!

I don't even know what you're talking about Zip, I posted that comment after reading the Topic of the thread. Stop thinking the world revolves around you.
