I’ve applied to CP for RD recently. Do they see mid-year grades in regular decision round? If so, how important are our grades? Do they also look at our midterm grades along with 1st and 2nd quarter grades?

I’d assume they would see your grades considering it’s regular decision. If your school runs on a typical two semester schedule (like mine), they would see your midyear grade. For me, this is an average of the first two quarters (worth 40% each) and the midterm (worth 20%). It just shows up as one letter from my school although that could be different at yours. As long as your midyear grades are available and complete, you’ll need to send them in. If your school runs on a trimester, then they’d likely only see the first trimester grades, given they might need to make a decision before the second trimester is over.
In terms of importance, I can’t tell you for sure. They certainly matter, as they are simply just grades from half a year of high school. They might not look them as hard as your previous years and maybe just look for any extreme drop in performance, basically anything that would raise a red flag. However, if you know you’re on the cusp of getting in, midyear grades that are above your normal grades would certainly play to your favor.
