Soon my midyear report will be sent out to Georgetown and other colleges. Stats for background:
94.80 overall transcript (average Georgetown accepted GPA at my school is 94.14)
Freshman Year: 91.29/90.57
Sophomore Year: 96.00/96.67
Junior Year: 96.57/98.00
Senior Year: around 95ish first term
Does that drop from 98 to 95ish look bad for Georgetown? It will still bring up my transcript average (because it is higher), but not by much. It’s also clear I’m taking much harder classes this year.
It looks like you have amazing grades! Congrats on doing so well and being so close to your high school graduation. It’s honestly hard for anyone who is not a Gtown admissions counselor to tell you a small change in grades will look to them (despite what some people on this site might say…). I think the important thing is that you did your best in your high school grades… if you have good standardized test scores and ECs… you should have as good of a chance as anyone! Good luck and I hope this helps! Also keep in mind that there is no real “wrong” choice for where you go to school. Someone with intelligence and work ethic (like you appear to have) will do amazingly anywhere!
@Biogirl20 Thank you for your kind words and advice! I hope it all works out.
