<p>Is it necessary? I guess it is not required for international students but I am not sure.</p>

<p>It is required. The only difference is that colleges usually are ok if you send it later because 1st semester or 2nd trimester may end after February 1st. For example, I still have 2 more weeks from the 1st semester and grades will not be officially available until it ends.</p>

<p>Not necessarily, but as soon as possible after. And I doubt they will accept a fax.</p>

<p>hello, i heard there are some uni's that dont require one , how do i find out if a uni (which uses the common app) requires a mid year report and which one doesnt?</p>

<p>i think most unis will accept a faxed version...actually thats what my school suggests and when i called up one of the unis they said it was acceptable...btw you can check the commonapp college grid to see if your uni requires a midyear report or just go to that particular unis website</p>
