I have a midyear report due 2/11 but I don't receive my semester grades until 2/14. I think the college told me to use my first quarter grades if that's the case. HOWEVER, I do know some of my semester grades because some teachers are done and moved onto third quarter and the others I can give approximate grades. PROBLEM is that my first quarter grades were better than my semester grades. Please help me decide whether to use my better first quarter grades or give my semester grades.
Here are my grades (first quarter/semester midyear)
90.1/90.68*
90.1/86.56*
92.713/89.0232
90.4/88*
86/87.5
The others were the same.
*approximate
Also, I have the option of reporting only the numbers or the letter grades. If I do use my semester grades, I want them to see that although I got a B+, but it's a high B+, 89.0232.

Usually midyear reports are sent directly from the school. Doesn't your school have a standard format for sending out scores? (Typically students don't decide whether to report numerical or letter grades.) While your semester grades are slightly lower the difference is very small so I wouldn't worry too much one way or the other.

The college wants self reported grades online. I think they're testing to see whether to trust us or not.

BTW, it's UNC chapel Hill. I think it's very competitive...

You don't have your official semester grades, therefore you are obligated to report your quarter grades, which is good for you.
