midyear reports for accepted students

hey! so does anyone know if we have to send midyear reports if we were already accepted ed? im probably just gonna call soon but i was wondering if you guys knew.
thanks!

Yes.
ED or RD they want your Mid Year transcript.
They’ll also want your Final transcript.

Note also that they want the mid-year by 3/1 and they (Rochester) can take 2 weeks to process them.

Mid-Year Report Form
High schools typically send this to you in January or February. Submit this form as soon as your grades become available (no later than March 1).

Ditto… I haven’t posted in a while! Busy reading applications… we still require the mid-year report, and simply ask that you get it to us as soon as it becomes available to you.

DS applied RD and his app did not show as complete until UR received his mid-year report, which finally happened late yesterday.
WOOT!!!
(that’s it, all apps are complete, all FA’s complete, done!!!)

Congrats AVHS dad… I know that must be a big relief!

Absolutely! Waiting is so much easier now… really, it is!

Can we assume that the Admissions office will realize that a) some schools don’t send out mid-year reports until mid-Feb., and that b) some of those same schools were closed for much of the first two weeks of Feb. due to snow? (Not everyone is as organized as Rochester in dealing with snow… :))

We’ve been told that the schools expected to get mid-year reports from the central office at the beginning of last week, and then were told it would be Fri. 2/19. Still have no confirmation that they’ve gone out!

Should we notify the regional rep of grades ourselves, pending receipt of the mid-year from the school?

An email to the admissions office is a great idea for that situation.

Midyear reports should be sent as soon as they are available. All applications are reviewed and decisions are made regardless of whether or not the midyear report is available. Some schools are on trimesters, some won’t release midyear reports until late February, early March, etc., and we as counselors are aware of these factors.

The midyear report is primarily used to confirm our initial decisions or to push borderline students to an admit or deny, so it is not necessary that you rush an unofficial report to us - simply send it when it is available.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I’m happy to help!
