I sent in my common app in to this one school a few weeks ago when i sent out all of them. I didn't send the supplement though. Well, today is the day the supplement is due and I really don't feel like doing it lol. I applied to 12 schools already and got accepted to one and I was really only applying to this one school as a low match/safety. I also found out this girl in my class who i don't like that much was admitted ED there and that sent a strong message about the school.

so my question is, i don't send in the supplement do I have to withdraw my application? if so how do I do that? will they just reject me if I don't send the rest in?

I’m not sure how big the school in question is, but if your classmate’s admittance is an issue, you might want to think again.
I went to the same college as a girl I didn’t like from high school. I only saw her at the airport a couple of times heading home at the end of the semester. On campus, I never saw her a single time in four years.
You put this school on your list for a reason…why not just scribble out the supplement and save the decision for later, when you have all of your college options in front of you?

I went to college with 2 other people from my high school class. During my four years in college, I remember passing one on the street – one time. Otherwise, I never saw them. Thirty years later, I saw one at reunion. She was on the other side of the room. I never got to speak to her.

Sooo… Unless the college in question is a place that has only 600 students or so, I don’t think you should make your plans based on who from your high school will be going there.

What’s funny about my experience is that one of the people from my high school in the Northeast who went to my college (New England) married a person who went to my husband’s small college (Midwest), which was about 600 miles away from my hometown, and about 800 miles away from my college. They ended up living about 20 miles away from us when we moved to the Midwest. (I learned this from news in my alum magazine). We never ran into them.

well the main problem isn’t that she’s going there. it’s not that I hate her; she’s a nice girl but she’s not very smart and she’s…wild. anyway, that’s not the main reason why i’m not applying anymore. I was applying because it was a safety (academic-wise) and I don’t really need one anymore because I was already admitted to a school EA. I never really liked the school that much, I just applied because my guidance told me it was like Wesleyan (which it’s not). any way, the supplement has three essays (including the dreaded why us?) and i just don’t want to do them lol.

thanks for the advice though lol.
