I didn't get into my #1 today, but I did get into my #2... I'm a little disappointed, but I'm not sure yet whether it'd be worth transferring, and I'm not going to make a decision either way until I try out #2U and see how I fit in.

Just in case though, what would I need to do to keep my options open for transfer after my first year? Or my second? My GPA hasn't been too great throughout high school, does that play into things? My SAT scores are good, I think (2100+), would there be any point to retaking? Would they even be valid if I took them again?

Just looking for lots of general info, so if you can help out, thanks a lot.

I'm guessing it was my GPA, but I was hoping my slight upward trend (All A's first semester senior year), URM status, and my decision to list USC as my #1 on my national merit stuff might've nudged me into the acceptance pool. I figure I ran into a spot of bad luck, but I'm not sure whether I want to transfer into USC or just transfer up to a higher "ranked" (For lack of a better word) school.

My Math + CR is only a 1440, I just listed the scores a little funny.
