Miiiiichiiiiigannnnnn.

Can someone please chance me for the University of Michigan? Thanks!

Asian female.

GPA: i think around 4.9?
SAT I: 650 CR, 780 M, 730 W (70 MC, 10 essay)
SAT II: 700 Biology M, 730 US History
Class rank: school doesn't rank.

ECs: I'm too lazy to list, but I do a lot..president of two clubs, heavily involved in music (oboe, piano - competitions, played at Carnegie etc.), 200+ hours of community service, research at a university lab, etc.

would that 650 hurt me? I'm applying as a biology major / ross school of business.

I'm also considering Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, Northwestern, UVA, Tufts, and am very open to suggestions for any schools that I might want to visit! In fact, please give me suggestions on schools.
Thanks so much!

i heard that yale was trying to boost up their science program- since you're interested in biology... have you looked into that school?

*always visit! =D i found the campus too gloomy for me but perhaps you'll find it different

Michigan- match
Cornell-low reach/possible match
JHU-match/low reach
Carnegie Mellon-math
NWU- match
UVA-match
Tufts-match

u're in great shape. if u want to retake the SAT's to get 2200+ u can but i think u're really strong as it is.

I will be paralyzed with shock if you aren't accepted at Michigan.

By the way, does Michigan weigh grades? I also heard that they don't use freshman year for admissions.

Thanks for all the feedback! I really appreciate it!

I think Michigan does unweighted GPA (from reading the site), but i'm not sure about not counting freshman year stuff because i didn't see anything about it..

maybe you can surf around this a bit and find your answer -- University of Michigan - Office of Undergraduate Admissions . good luck!
