I had an internship with a local newspaper this summer, and during the school year I'll be writing an education column. I don't want to major in journalism, but I do love writing.

I'm decent at lacrosse (I should be ok for DIII) and very good at music. I've contacted a lot of jazz departments and I'll be sending out my mp3s soon. I'm a lacrosse recruit at Vassar...

Several hundred service hours.

I'm applying to:

Amherst
Williams
Colgate
Tufts
Brown
Princeton
Yale
Cornell
Dartmouth
Boston University
Vassar
New College of Florida

Maybe U of Chicago or Northwestern. (I'm visiting it today) Also considering a few more LACs (swarthmore, middlebury).

Now that I think about it, I'm a lot better at bass than lacrosse. I can play in basically any style, and my jazz band went to the state level. I would get a scholarship if I went to a school for music performance, but I'm not...

Also, some reccomendations for business schools would be appreciated. I dislike NYC a lot, so please nothing there...

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and give me your honest feedback!
