Does anyone have any knowledge of mining engineering at Southern Illinois University? I am really interested in the program do to it’s low cost (I qualify for high achievers tuition and the departmental scholarships) and the research opportunities (5th after VT, AZ, WV, MST, CSM).
I know they specialize in coal, but do other mining companies recruit SIU mining students?
Southern Illinois is the only mining school with almost no information on what it like to go there. I have gotten feedback every school (even New Mexico Tech which only has roughly 1,600 undergrads) but nothing on Southern Illinois.
