Average high school student going into Computer Science.
Im focusing mainly towards NDSU because I hard it offers a great education
However I have a really close friend that is going to Bemidji State because he did not get into NDSU. It would be cool to go to the same school as him but I want to know what school is better academics wise and employment opportunities.
NDSU has a great connection with Microsoft which really sparked my interest, BSU I have no idea, the only thing that has my interest is that my friend is going there.
For CS? NDSU and it isn’t close. Don’t pick a school due to a friendship or other relationship. Young folks need to grow up and develop their independence.
Also a MN parent here, and I agree. Do NOT pick a college because your friend is going there. NDSU is the stronger school. You can go visit your friend for a couple of weekends.
Third vote here for NDSU; truly it’s not even a valid comparison between the two since they are on such different Carnegie research classification levels.
