do students at northwestern every minor in addition to double majoring?? also, how big is the minor at northwestern just in general, and what are some of its benefits?

I think it all depends on what the majors and minor are and how hard you're willing to work. You can do as much as you want, but you might be overwhelmed and feel like you don't have time to have any fun! Like I said, it depends on the subjects too.

Double major + minor is a lot, I mean it's doable with the quarter system, but that's a LOT. It might be better to just choose one or the other. It helps to go to the different program websites and see which one you think suits you better. I was going to double major (with econ), but then I realized that the econ program was so broad I would be learning a lot of stuff I didn't care about, since econ was not my primary course of study. I checked the site and the econ minor basically covers all the important stuff, but still lets you focus in on a specific area (such as "econ in business") for the higher level classes. I thought this fit my needs better, so now I am going to minor in econ.

thanks a lot for the info!
