I had two conflicts on in fifth grade, one and sixth. One got me a suspension for the rest of the day, they were both minor incidents. Will this affect my college admissions process?
Not one bit. It is your high school record that colleges care about.
Keep a clean record in high school, though, as you are obligated to report any transgressions.
Thank you so much, I will be sure that my record will be clean! Those were the only two conflicts I’ve ever gotten into.
Just to be clear nothing outside of high school is seen by colleges?
As long as you don’t have a criminal record, I suppose.
Some things outside of HS are seen by colleges – for example students have had college acceptances rescinded due to racist/offensive social media posts.
Bottom line is your elementary school problems should not impact college admissions but stay away from trouble.
Ok thank you, my incidents were considered minor, no law enforcement were involved. In both situations actually I was the defender, so does that mean I’m all good?
Both were considered minor in the system, and were in 5th grade and 6th grade, so is it guaranteed that this will not be on any admissions?
I don’t think these infractions will be reflected on your HS transcript or counselor report/rec, but since you seem anxious about it why don’t you confirm with your GC? Assuming you are in HS now.
