I go to UPenn and lately I've become interested in possibly going to law school. Penn offers a minor with the Wharton School in Legal Studies that I'm very interested in doing. However, I've heard that law schools don't like to see students taking law-related classes before entering law school. Is this true? Would I be better off not doing this minor or will they not care? I know that a minor in legal studies won't help me get into law school, but it's something that I think I would really like. Thanks for any advice!

It’s not that they mind that you do legal courses before law school (though I doubt legal studies would involve the same curriculum you’d do in law school); they mind it becoming the only think you do in college. Paired with a major like economics or philosophy or government or whatever, no one cares.
