do schools allow people to have a major in BME , and a minor in Comp Sci? I will be going to UW madison next year, so the plan is to come home during my freshman summer, but stay in madison the rest of the three years taking comp Sci courses to get a minor is this possible?

I think EE with a concentration on BME would be better. It's a bit less work too.

You can do that. The CS minor is the hardest to finish of all minors imo.

is it possible to concentrate solely on BME, -or EE with BME concentration- during the school year, and only take Comp Sci courses in summers and still grad with a major and a minor in 4 years? or am i in for a world of pain

It depends. Does your school offer the CS courses you need during summers? It's a scheduling game, you may get unlucky and have a critical BME course offered at the same time as a CS course. It's difficult to finish one engineering major in 4 years, so yea, it will be difficult to finish both in 4. If you can come up with a good schedule and don't fall behind, you can do it. It's possible, but it all depends on how hard you want to work.

Also, maybe I'm lazy, but I don't think it's a big deal if you need to stay over the 4 years.
