I'm a fall 2010 transfer to the college of human ecology for PAM and wonder if i should minor in inequality studies. the description totally fascinates me but im not sure if it would actually be a good idea.

i plan to go to law school so im not sure if can fit a minor and lsat preparation, i think it may delay graduation by at least a semester, etc.

has anyone minored in this before on here? if so, thoughts?

the minor is through CAS - will it be a pain to get a minor from CAS since im in HE?

depending on your credit evaluation, you can probably fit it if you plan out your classes for every semester like now lol. idk how pam is, but hd is really flexible, i only have like 5 more major classes to take ever. take a look at course offerings and see if you’d be able to handle it. and all you have to do is fill out paperwork, so it shouldn’t be a big deal

I concentrated in inequality. It’s a great program.

Of course you can, especially considering you have all this time known as ‘breaks’.

thanks! this seems like a total possibility now :)

hi, i’m also a fall 2010 transfer student (CAS), majoring in biological sciences (most likely pre-med). and i’m also interested in a minor in inequalities studies (i’m interested in global health)…CayugaRed2005, can you please explain the inequality studies program a bit more? in terms of how interesting it is, professors, difficulty, requirements, suggested courses, etc…thanks in advance!

I was actually thinking of taking SOC 2220 (Controversies about Inequality) in the Fall with Prof. Morgan (one of the soc classes I enrolled in just got cancelled)…any thoughts on the course and/or professor?
