Minor in Psych and Major in Finance?

Please leave you judgment out of this. This may seem like the most unlikely combination for things but I have given this many thoughts. Despite that they may alter as my view of things shift, but for now, please offer your most objective view on this.

I thought about majoring in finance for a long time because I have put some time into interesting myself with this field. I have always asked people how they take this path because a lot of college dont list finance as a major, instead people choose math/stat/eco/poli-sci. I know BS is a must in the future, but how does one lean oneself toward that path? Which major from the prior mentioned should I pick and what should I do so I can try to enter the financial field?

I am always interested in humanity so I think taking psych would be great for me. I just love people and looking at their drive and personalities. I have looked into this, just on the surface, and I have found out that Psych is pretty much useless unless you go all the way up to Ph.D, in which requires at least close to a decade of studies. Even for a bachelor's degree it would be tough to find a decent (probably not a very neutral word choice, but this is in the most mundane sense, pay-grade wise) position. I'd like to be the guy sitting in leather chairs one day and taking notes on a legal pad, and I know that requires a PhD for sure. But would having a minor help me? Also what would it do to me in terms of course load, in conjunction with my finance major?
