<p>The sense of entitilement among the White Anglo Saxon Protestents of Yale, Harvard, and some of the elite colleges, in admitting the majority of its students, many with C grades who were WASPs, from just 10 elite New England boarding schools before WW II, is just as immoral and unjust as your sense of entitilement for admission to Yale, or Harvard and the elite colleges, based solely on your race, with lowered standards and criteria, as a black person receiving racial preferential treatment through AA today.</p>
<p>The wrong of yesterday does not justify the wrong of today, admissions to the elite colleges with race preferences.</p>

<p>The biggest problem facing the nation today is the closing of the Test Score Gap, in all tests, including the high stakes tests for k-12, the State Bar Exams and the United States Medical Licensing Exams (USMLE) as well as the SAT I & II, between the races, if at all possible. Less than 40% of blacks pass their State Bar Exams and less than 50% of blacks pass the first part of the USMLE, while over 90% of Asians and whites pass. Otherwise, nothing will change in terms of the educational achievement and attainment of ALL blacks, including the most affluent underachieving blacks , as well as the lower class underachieving blacks in America. This call for change is easier said than done, but we must find reasons for the existence of THE GAP, and ways to close it.</p>
<p>One of the ways to close the gap, may require blacks to change its culture and reset its priorities in the form of the family unit ( over 70 to 85% of births in Harlem are out-of-wedlock, non-existant fathers, etc.), stop self-destructive behavior with drug abuse and crime, and review the importance of education as a priority for blacks and its attitude in hard work towards studying. To ask blacks, as a group to change its culture and to assume responsibity for this change, is to bring forth charges of RACISM, mainly from the flaming liberals who make a living based on the victimhood of blacks, causing blacks a grave disservice.</p>

<p>This book is a complilation of research from many scholars from the most prestigious universities, in an effort to find the causes for the Test Score Gap and an attempt to recommend remedies in narrowing The Gap.</p>
<p>In the book, "Getting In: Inside the College Admissions Process" by Bill Paul, Addison- Wesley Publishing Co., Inc., 1995, the author writes in his discussion on affirmative action and reverse discrimination against Asian Americans on pp. 200-202: </p>

Jersey, said, [some colleges have "invisible quotas" for Asian- Americans done in the name of "diversity."] </p>
<p>Mr. Kean, also the Head of the Commission on 9/11, said, "Nobody wants to talk about this," he told me (Mr. Bill Paul, the author) in an interview, "but the word is very much around at the most highly-selective colleges. People are practicing that discrimination."</p>

<p>Colleges choose the most 'qualified' candidates. If affirmative action deems some candidates more 'qualified' than others, so be it. That's their perogative. </p>

<p>The "jury is still out" on this one. It is not these colleges' "perogative", if these private schools are beholding to government funding for research. These funds come from the public. These funds can be stopped in an instance, had the US Supreme Court ruled against using race as a factor in admissions with one swing vote. Needless to say, there will be future cases. Harvard Medical School receives over $700 million/year in government funding, mostly from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for its research, professors' salaries and labs, and even student scholarships and stipends which pay in full(MD-PhD program). These funds can and will be stopped if any private school is found discriminating on the basis of race in admissions. </p>
<p>The poorest Asian Americans, from families with incomes of less than $20k/year, who have parents with a high school diploma or less, perform higher on the SAT I, achieve higher GPAs, take more difficult courses, and graduate at higher rates than the richest blacks, from family incomes with $100k/year, who have parents with college and graduate degrees. In fact, the poorest Asian Americans living in the poorest neighborhoods with blacks and latinos, attending the same deficiet ghetto k-12 schools, outperform many whites in more affluent neighborhoods. One can verify this on the web by reviewing the NYC Public Schools' Report Card, which breaks down academic performance, graduation rates and test scores for each racial and ethnic group in every public k-12 school in NYC. Facts don't lie. That's the dark secret along with verifiable FACTS that the politically correct refuse to acknlowledge.</p>
<p>What are the root causes for this OVERALL UNDERPERFORMANCE AND UNDERACHIEVEMENT of all blacks, including the most affluent blacks?? </p>
<p>That's the crux of the problem, and until you find the reasons for this, the racial gaps in academic achievement will never be narrowed or closed.</p>
