Weimans is good. Soft scrub with bleach works too. Agree…put a rag with hot water to soften the jelly up. Then cover with soft scrub or Weimans (I’ve never noticed a difference between the quality), and let it sit.
If you need to scrape…use a plastic spatula…not anything metal. But you shouldn’t have to. Just elbow grease and a rag. You might have to repeat the hot water rag, and cleaner more than once.

This cleaning kit was included with my Wolf cooktop. I haven’t had any problems using the scraper blade on the ceramic. I just make sure to keep the surface wet while I’m using it. As others say, I would keep a very wet rag on top of the spill until much of the sugar softens or dissolves. I would leave it a couple days if needed. Then clean with something like Cerama Bryte and use the scraper for any stubborn bits.

I have a few of these and use them for many things including my ceramic cooktop and inside the oven and all around the house! There are many varieties and package sizes. This is just one example. (Not claiming this to be a “miracle product” but hoping to help the jam spill!

I have used this, but I have never had anything as difficult to remove as jam.
I had used another brand prior to this one, but I wasn’t able to find it. I think any of the white cream ceramic cooktop cleaners will work. GRITS80 posted another option that looks similar. Good luck!

I think it can be used on ceramic or glass. I have used it when I managed to burn something to the inside of my Le Creuset dutch oven.

I only discovered these hoses last year and I now wonder how I lived without them.
They really do shrink back down to nothing. The material is some sort of flexible fabric, and you do need to run the water out of the hose after shutting off the faucet so that the hose shrivels back to nothing. It is super lightweight so you do not need to fight with it. I have the 100 foot hose connected to a more traditional vinyl hose so that I can reach all the way around the house.

I shared on another thread what worked when a rubber-backed rug melted onto our ceramic cooktop. What a mess, but it cleaned up without a trace of gunk. The lingering smell however…
@CT1417, love those hoses, too.

I switched to these hoses around five years ago and wish I’d done it sooner. Love them!!!

If this works well, it IS a miracle! I swear that pet hair permanently attaches to furniture!!
It does. I mentioned it upthread. I get a softball sized amount every week. I could do it every day. It’s really easy to use. It used to be my kids’ job. But over time, the rubber nubs do wear down. I’m on my third in 10-15 years.

I have a similar one I bought years ago. True life saver.
To get our cooktop cleaned, I have sprinkled on some water, mixed in baking soda, and then scrubbed it with a toothbrush. Didn’t try the baking soda choatiemom recommended, but I can see that working even better.
Dangerous thread - so far I’ve purchased 2 things mentioned!

My poor dog is afraid of our Chop Wizard. The noise has startled him a few times (I may overload it) and now if he sees me get it out he hides. But I agree with you it’s a great tool.

Agree about the Chom Chom. I’ve tried many things to get rid of pet hair (love our dog but he sheds 24/7) and this has been the best.
One Chom Chom, ordered and arriving tomorrow……I have high hopes!

My miracle product is something called Wet & Forget Shower. You spray it on your tub/shower/glass doors once a week after the last shower of the day, then rinse it off before the next shower. I haven’t cleaned the tub (other than that weekly spray) for years. I don’t have a link but you can get it at Amazon and the big box hardware stores. Not to be confused with Wet & Forget for outdoor surfaces (for mold/mildew on patios, driveways, etc.), which is also good, but not in the miracle firmament like the shower version.

I’m going to try the shower stuff, I use the wet& forget outside all the time on shady spots, to prevent that green scum. If this works, it’ll be lovely
I did not have much luck with the “Wet and Forget” stuff on our shady deck. Do you have a certain process???
