I have no major passions in life and don't know what major to pursue? I've decided between Bio major or business (MIS)...which has better job prospects? I'm a 2nd semester freshman at UH..im not very good at math, not doing well in finite math (for business) or precal (towards science major...what major should i choose? (prefer one of the two)

Biology generally has worse job and career prospects than business. A lot of pre-meds major in biology; the majority who do not get into any medical school flood the job market for biology graduates.

Well, thats good news because I’m doing business and not planning on med school
-do you know what bus major has the most prospects(and income)?
finance,marketing,Accounting,Entrepreneurship,Management,Management Information Systems,Supply Chain Management
-besides med school, what kind of jobs do bio majors do?
-any sites that answer these questions would also be helpful
and I want more people to respond

the bio question is broad…in a down economy business majors don’t do too well so wouldnt bio majors be…‘not so bad’

Happydad works in Biotech, and there is a crying need in that industry for people who are savvy about business, but who also can think clearly about the science and who understand the folks in the lab. I’d recommend a bio/biotech major with a strong minor in business so that you are ready for a career in that industry.

A big no to bio…not even if you’re pre-med. Poor job prospects…and even if pre-med, many pre-meds never get accepted to med school.

MIS has much, much better job prospects.

What schools are you looking at?
