Hello!
Recently I’ve been searching up some college majors as I have an idea of what I want to do, but not what it would be called or anything very specific about it. I’d like to major in business (or a section of it, i.e. marketing or finance) where I would get to do research and analyze trends in order to help the company decide where to put its resources.
I took a mymajors test and got MIS as the best fit for me, and while it does seem related I’m still not sure what it completely entails. What I’ve read so far makes me think that it’s more managing a business and creating software to help keep the business organized, is this true? It seemed like an interesting option, although I am concerned with how skilled I would need to be with technology. I like working with computers, but at the moment do not have any special skills with them (like programming).
Two things; can someone tell me more about what an MIS major would be learning and what related careers do? And, is what I described in my first paragraph what a statistics major would do, or is there another name for it?
Thank you very much!
P.S. Is there is a way to change your CC username? I made this account 4 years ago and really dislike it now…
